DIVINITY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Lord speaking in the Old Testament is attributed to the Holy Spirit in the New Testament.

Isaiah 6:8-10 — Acts 28:25
Jeremiah 31:31-34 — Hebrews 10:15-17

HOLY SPIRIT A MANIFESTATION OF GOD

John 14:16-17  ·  John 15:26  ·  John 16:8  ·  John 16:13  ·  Romans 8:26  ·  2 Corinthians 13:14

Ezekiel 37:7-10 verse 14 “I will put My Spirit within you and you will come to life”

Israel’s fulfillment will come to life when the Holy Spirit will come upon them – same applies to individuals (the Church – ecclesia – Called out ones)

LIVING WATER – PICTURE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Ezekiel 47 – John 7:37

a) Flows out from the Sanctuary (you are the Temple of the Holy Spirit)
Starts with a ‘trickle’

b) Sanctuary represents presence of God Dedicated to God for His Purpose to give out – flow from being filled up; different levels: Ankle, knee, waist, overflowing Fruit from the flowing life (Ezekiel 47:9-12)

and Baptism of the Holy Spirit through Peter and John (verse 14-17)

WHY BELIEVERS SHOULD BE BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

1) You will live under another influence – become passionate
2) You become more aware of the evil in the world
3) You will have more conflicts with Satan – Satan doesn’t bother ‘nominal’ believer
4) You have more conflict with ‘self’ – flesh and spirit are enemies
5) Greater peace with the Lord
6) Greater desire to be Holy rather than Happy (as in the world)
7) Increased consciousness of the Lord’s presence within you

A clearer divide from the soul and Spirit – in your understanding through the Spirit of Truth within and the Holy Spirit praying through you to enlighten your soul to His Heart’s desire for you and others – essential for a servant of God to minister in, by, and through the Holy Spirit.

CONCLUSION

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in a heavenly language, is much more than a mere experience; it is entering into a deeper relationship with Jesus by surrendering more of your ‘self-life’. It is coming into the fullness of all the Lord has for us as His children, His servants, His people.
